An educational institution in Wakefield seeks an HR Administration Assistant to manage administrative tasks, respond to inquiries, and support the HR team. An exciting opportunity has become available in the HR Central Team for an enthusiastic and driven Administration Assistant. In this hands-on, operational role as HR Administration Assistant, you will carry out a range of administrative duties related to safer recruitment and act as the first point of contact for the HR Team. You will receive and deal with telephone calls and enquiries in a courteous manner and manage the busy HR email inbox. You will respond to routine enquiries with support from HR colleagues and complete administrative tasks such as drafting letters, contracts, communications and minutes to a high standard and must have exemplary attention to detail. The full-time post is offered; however, applications will be considered from candidates seeking part-time arrangements with flexibility for Term Time working. A minimum of 30 hours per week and Term Time plus 15 days is required. Please state on your application form if you wish to be considered as a part-time applicant.
The full-time hours for the role are Monday to Thursday 8.00am to 4.00pm and Friday 8.00am to 3.30pm, with a half-hour unpaid lunch break per day. We will consider appropriate alternatives to this working pattern. Please specify on your application form.
This position is temporary in the first instance until 31 August 2026.
