Overview

Blyth — Permanent, Full Time (37.5 hpw)

Earn £12.60 per hour (Salary £24,638 per annum)

Typical duties
  • First line of support when the wider team or networks aren’t available
  • Ensure building safety through patrols, fire door checks, locks and security checks
  • Think on your feet to handle incidents, from suspicious activity to emergencies
  • Pitch in with cleaning and tidying when needed
  • Help create a calm, safe, and welcoming environment for residents

Note: If you want a purely quiet night security job, this role may not be for you.

Job details
  • Two week (rolling) rota between the hours of 08:00 and 20:00
  • Although you’ll lone work, we do get together regularly for training and team meetings
  • Confident using technology for CCTV, records and customer support
  • You’ll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that
You bring
  • Calm under pressure with strong communication skills
  • Passionate about supporting vulnerable people (public service experience a bonus)
  • Sociable, observant, and quick to spot changes in behaviour
  • Confident stepping in before issues escalate, handling situations sensitively
  • A team player who’s also comfortable working alone, backed by our out of hours team
  • To get from A to B, you’ll need a vehicle insured for business purposes. We’ll pay your mileage
