32.5 hours per week, term time working 39 weeks per year

Rowan Tree Primary requires 1 x HLTA SEN who has a substantial and proven track record of working with pupils with severe and complex autism within a large specialist provision setting.

The governors are seeking to appoint an excellent, enthusiastic and committed HLTA SEN to join our highly successful school and motivated staff team.

Rowan Tree is a specialist primary school for pupils with severe and complex needs (4-11 years). The school was graded outstanding by OFSTED in March 2024 and was recognised as an accredited provider for pupils with Autism by the National Autistic Society during the spring term 2021. The whole school team are committed to continually building on these successes.

Responsibilities
  • Excellent HLTA SEN with experience of working in a Specialist Provision.
  • Energetic practitioners with knowledge skills and understanding of a range of teaching, learning and assessment strategies to make a positive impact on the progress of pupils with severe and complex autism and severe learning difficulties.
  • HLTA SEN skilled in the use of technology and digital media to enable pupils to demonstrate their learning.
  • Highly motivated, innovative people with enthusiasm and commitment
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • An interest in play and learning outside of the classroom.
  • A positive and solution focused attitude.
  • Excellent HLTA SEN with experience of leading whole class lessons in a specialist provision.
