Overview of the role

A large primary school located in Birkenhead (CH41) are currently looking to employ an experienced HLTA on a fixed-term contract starting from October 2025 with the view to last the academic year (with the possibility of this being made a permanent position).

Responsibilities
  • Provide temporary cover for PPA and absences across both KS1 and KS2; experience of working across both key stages would be beneficial.

Qualifications and experience
  • HLTA level (or equivalent), or potentially an Early Career Teacher who is keen to gain further experience across the primary phases before undertaking a full classroom teaching role.

Contract details
  • Fixed-term contract starting October 2025 for the academic year, with the view to permanent.
  • All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
