About The Role

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours: Full Time, 35 hours per week

Number of positions: 1
Start Date: 5th January 2026

Salary: £30,024 - £32,061 pro rata

We’re looking for a passionate and skilled HLTA to support teaching and learning across the academy.

You’ll work closely with class teachers and support staff to plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons to individuals, small groups, or whole classes.

You’ll also contribute to assessment, lead interventions, and may manage other support staff or develop a specialist area of expertise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support teaching, learning, and assessment in collaboration with teachers
  • Deliver elements of lessons and lead whole sessions under teacher direction
  • Contribute to planning and monitoring student progress
  • Provide continuity during teacher absences
  • Lead a specialist area (e.g., SEND, literacy, numeracy, ICT)
  • Support pastoral care and student wellbeing
  • Supervise students during transitions and contribute to First Aid provision (training provided)
