Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
  • Previous experience working with HGVs or commercial vehicles is required.
  • Must possess a Class 1 or Class 2 licence.

HGV Technician

Location: Newcastle

Shift: Monday to Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Salary: Up to £17.68 per hour / £39,072 per year

Due to continued business growth, they are now looking to add a night shift HGV Technician to their expert team in Newcastle

About the HGV Technician Role

As a HGV Technician, you’ll play a key role in ensuring fleet reliability, safety, and performance. Working with well-known brands including Mercedes, Iveco, and Ford, your day-to-day will include:

  • Diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a range of HGVs and specialist vehicles
  • Conducting safety inspections and preparing vehicles for MOT
  • Ensuring all work meets DVSA and manufacturer standards
Required Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience working with HGVs or commercial vehicles
  • Class 1 or Class 2 licence
