Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced HGV Mechanic to join our client's workshop in Erith. The successful HGV Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicle makes and models.

Job Details

Location: Erith

Salary: £25.00 per hour plus bonus and overtime

Shifts: 13:00 to 21:30 Mon to Fri plus every other Saturday morning

HGV Mechanic Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair vehicle problems, including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical issues.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
  • Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Keep accurate records of all work performed and parts used.
  • Communicate with customers about vehicle issues and repair recommendations.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area.
HGV Mechanic Requirements
  • You will need to have experience as a vehicle technician and a relevant and up to date qualification. City & Guilds or NVQ level 3 qualification is essential
  • Experience within a fleet or commercial environment working on HGVs
  • HGV Class 1 Driving licence is preferred
  • Experience with Tail lifts is desirable
