Job summary

A well-established commercial vehicle service provider in South Cambridgeshire is seeking an experienced HGV/LCV Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing heavy goods and light commercial vehicles. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical skills, along with excellent customer service abilities. This full-time position offers a salary between £40,000 - £55,000 and flexible working hours within a supportive team environment.

Are you an experienced HGV or LCV Technician looking to join a supportive, family-run business where your skills are truly valued? Acorn by Synergie is recruiting on behalf of a well-established commercial vehicle service provider in South Cambridgeshire. With a growing customer base and strong reputation for quality, they are expanding their team and seeking motivated technicians to join them.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) and light commercial vehicles (LCVs).
  • Ensure all vehicles are safe, roadworthy, and operating at peak performance.
  • Identify and fix mechanical and electrical faults efficiently.
  • Work independently and collaboratively within the workshop team.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients.
What We\'re Looking For:
  • Proven experience working on HGVs and LCVs.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills.
  • Proactive, with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Relevant automotive qualifications are a plus.
  • DAF experience and training is beneficial but not essential.
  • Full UK driving licence with a clean record.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Working Hours

Flexible shift patterns including early, day, and late shifts to meet customer needs. Specific hours can be discussed to suit your availability.
