Position: HGV Driver & Supervisor

Location: Hemel Hempstead

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 DOE

Position Overview

• Oversee all night-time transport activities across the depot
• Ensure the operation runs efficiently and in line with company standards
• Carry out driving duties as required
• Maintain full compliance across the fleet and operation
• Build and manage relationships with subcontractors
• Support with budgeting and operational planning
• Undertake people-management duties including recruitment, rota planning and disciplinary processes

Requirements

• Class 1 or Class 2 HGV Licence – essential
• Background in courier, parcel or logistics operations – advantageous
• Supervisory or management experience within a transport environment
• Comfortable with hands‑on duties and supporting across the depot where needed
• Transport Manager CPC – beneficial

Remuneration

• Night shift pattern: Saturday – Wednesday, approx. 20:00/21:00 start – 04:00/05:00 finish
