Overview

HGV Class 1 & Class 2 Drivers

Location: Manchester Airport

Hours: Monday to Friday, 10-hour shifts (typically 7:00 am start). Flexibility required for earlier starts from 6:00 am when needed. Weekend work: 12-hour shifts (7:00 am start).

Trunking routes: 12-hour night shifts (site-to-site, e.g., Manchester to London) — occasional overnight stays required. Job Type: Full-time, Temp to Perm.

Salary: 15 per hour / 50 hours per week / 39k salary

Role Overview

We are currently seeking experienced and reliable HGV Class 1 and Class 2 Drivers to join our team operating out of Manchester Airport. This role involves a mix of multi-drop deliveries and trunking runs between sites, ensuring goods are transported safely and efficiently. You will be working with time-sensitive loads, so punctuality, professionalism, and safety are key.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily multi-drop deliveries across the region
• Complete long-distance trunking runs (e.g., Manchester to London) as required
• Ensure all deliveries and collections are completed accurately and on time
• Carry out vehicle checks and ensure compliance with all road transport regulations
• Follow company procedures and maintain a high standard of customer service
• Adhere to health, safety, and security procedures, particularly within airport operations

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 1 or Class 2 (Category C / C+E) licence
• CPC and Digital Tachograph Card essential
• Previous experience in multi-drop and / or trunking work
