A healthcare organization in the UK is seeking a dedicated individual to manage Point of Care Testing operations. The role involves maintaining various testing devices, troubleshooting issues, and supporting users across multiple sites. Ideal candidates will possess excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently and with teams. Training and development opportunities are available to support staff growth.
The service manages multiple pieces of point of care testing equipment including Radiometer and Abbott blood gas analysers. The department is also responsible for glucose and ketone meters, rapid PCR instruments for Covid-19, Flu and RSV testing, urinalysis instruments, HbA1c testing instruments, and more.
South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust are partnering to provide a comprehensive POCT service to their users. South Tees comprises The James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough and the Friarage Hospital, Northallerton (approximately 22 miles apart). North Tees and Hartlepool comprises The University Hospitals of North Tees and Hartlepool (approximately 15 miles apart).
The successful candidate will be expected to work across both Trusts and all sites, in addition to smaller units within the community and primary care.
South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust offers leadership and improvement training to all new staff. This training programme is designed to support staff in developing leadership and management skills. You will be expected to attend the following training sessions.
