Job summary

A regional health board in North Wales is seeking an enthusiastic and innovative Health Visitor for their service in Rhyl. Job description

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board has an opportunity for an enthusiastic and innovative Health Visitor to join our universal Health Visiting service in the Rhyl area, North Wales. We are looking for a self-motivated team player who has excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.

The post holder will manage a caseload within a defined population, with overarching aims of increasing family resilience, improving population health outcomes and reducing health inequalities whilst safeguarding the well-being of children. The post holder will contribute to the public health role in line with government public health initiatives and within the Healthy Child Wales Programme.

Candidates must hold a degree or equivalent in Health Visiting with current NMC registration.

Employment in this post is subject to a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure from the Criminal Records Bureau.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will have professional responsibility for a defined population/caseload and lead the delivery & organisation of the public health program. Delivering the nursing component of the Healthy Wales Child Programme to a 0-5 age population within a defined area.

Based within the community setting, the practitioner is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care offered to families and external organisations, with particular attention to safeguarding children.

They will be responsible for coordinating and delegating work within a skill mix team.
