Job summary

A leading environmental services company is seeking an Experienced Health and Safety Support Officer. Based in the Reading area, you will support the Health and Safety Manager, conduct risk assessments, and monitor workplace conditions. The role requires a strong understanding of UK health and safety legislation and NEBOSH certification is essential. The position offers a salary of £30,000-£40,000 and various employee benefits including a company vehicle and annual leave.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a health and safety role, preferably in a high-risk environment.
• Solid understanding of UK health and safety legislation and industry best practices.

Responsibilities

• Support the Health and Safety Manager in implementing the health and safety management system.
• Conduct and review risk assessments and safe systems of work.
• Monitor workplace conditions through regular inspections and audits.
• Participate in the investigation of incidents and prepare reports.
