Here at P&O Ferries we are seeking a HSSE Officer to join our team here in Hull on a permanent basis.

Role purpose

This is an opportunity to work as part of the HSSE team helping to facilitate the HSSE strategy within Hull, ensuring that the highest level of health, safety, security and environmental management is maintained and strong relationships are upheld with key stakeholders and subject matter experts.

Responsibilities
  • Educate, advise, audit and develop local teams to ensure standards are maintained in compliance with Group HSSE requirements.
  • Ensure appropriate assurance protocols are in place and managed for employees, visitors and contracted activity.
  • Aid in HSSE Port performance including regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct timely incident investigations including actions to prevent and support throughout the lifecycle
  • Maintain risk assessment inventory and ensure suitable and sufficient risk assessments are maintained.
Qualifications
  • Hold a Level 3 HSE qualification e.g NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent
  • Fully engage with teams leading to an improved HSSE culture.
  • Facilitate and ensure that HSSE is an integral part of line management operations including sharing of trends and learnings with relevant P&O Operations as appropriate.
Location and hours

Location – Hull, this role operates 37.5 hours a week across 5 days.
