The Role

This position has been created following a recent consultant‑led HSE analysis project. The successful candidate will play a key role in addressing identified gaps, implementing practical solutions, and embedding strong HSE practices across the operation.

You will be highly visible on the shop floor, working closely with production teams and management to ensure health, safety, and environmental standards are not only met, but continuously improved.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement actions arising from the recent HSE gap analysis
  • Develop, review, and maintain accurate HSE documentation, including:
  • SOPs
  • Training records and matrices
  • Support waste management activities and ensure compliance with relevant permits
  • Identify practical, workable solutions to HSE challenges (not just highlight issues)
  • Assist in building robust systems with a view to achieving:
  • ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety)
  • Promote a positive safety culture through engagement and visible leadership
About You
  • NEBOSH Certificate (desirable) or actively working towards
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Practical, solution‑focused mindset
  • Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail
  • Confident in maintaining accurate and auditable HSE records
  • Willing to be present on the shop floor and engage with colleagues at all levels
What's on Offer
  • Competitive salary up to £40k
  • Opportunity to grow and shape an HSE function from the ground up
  • Support for ongoing professional development and qualifications
  • Exposure to ISO accreditation projects
  • A genuinely hands‑on role with real influence on day‑to‑day operations

This role would suit an ambitious HSE professional looking to gain broad, practical experience and develop their career within a supportive and forward‑thinking manufacturing business.
