A local healthcare practice in Leeds is seeking a skilled individual for the role of Health Care Assistant or Nursing Associate. The ideal candidate will have experience in phlebotomy, wound care, and performing NHS Health Checks, alongside various clinical responsibilities. Candidates should demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to adapt within a team-oriented environment.

Working pattern Thursday and Friday 8.30am 6pm. Salarywill depend on experience.

Ideally you will be qualified and experienced in deliveringphlebotomy, long term condition reviews, wound care and assisting withcontraceptive procedures.

Main duties of the job

ECG Recording, Phlebotomy, LTC reviews, injections underPSD, vaccine clinics, testing of urine samples as requested by clinicians,diabetic foot checks, NHS Health Checks,) Wound Care, BP checks, chaperoningduties, processing and management of lab samples requested by GPs and Nurses,Vaccine and cold chain storage, monitoring and recording, stock control andstocking rooms, assisting with contraceptive services, administration asnecessary.

We area small, friendly GP Practice based in Seacroft, East Leeds and are looking foran enthusiastic and skilled individual to join our nursing team, either as aHealth Care Assistant or Nursing Associate

Job responsibilities

ECG recording

Spirometry (subject to necessary training)

Injections under PSD

Testing of urine samples as requested by clinicians

NHS Health Checks

Blood Pressure Checks

Processing and management of laboratory samples requested byGPs/nurses

Vaccine/cold chain storage, monitoring and recording

Surgical equipment and vaccine re-stocking and stockrotation

Stock ordering, control and re-stocking consulting rooms

Clinical administration as necessary

Preparing and maintaining environments and equipment before,during and after patient care interventions, including assisting GPs during theperformance of minor operations and contraceptive procedures

Assisting in the assessment and surveillance of patientshealth and well-being

Undertaking specific clinical activities for named patientsthat have been delegated and taught specifically in relation to that individual

Helping to raise awareness of health and well-being and howit can be promoted

Assisting with the collection and collation of data on needsrelated to health and well-being
