Job summary

A specialist UK wide recruiter is seeking a Health and Social Care Trainer/Assessor based in Hertfordshire and surrounding areas. This full-time position, with a salary range of £30,000 - £33,000 pro rata, involves assessing and supporting learners to achieve their Health and Social Care Apprenticeships. The ideal candidate will hold a valid Assessor award and have experience in the field, along with excellent organisational and motivational skills. Flexibility with travel and a clean driving license are required.

Qualifications

  • Hold a recognised Assessor award (D32/33, A1, CAVA or TAQA).
  • Experience delivering Apprenticeships in Health and Social Care.
  • Occupational competency in Health and Social Care at Deputy Manager level or above.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and support learners working towards Apprenticeships in Health and Social Care.
  • Manage diary to ensure timely visits and reviews.
  • Organise and maintain documentation on learners' progress.
  • Support and motivate learners.

Hertfordshire and surrounding areas - Home/Field based

Salary:

£30,000 - £33,000 (pro rata)

Type:

Full Time, 6-month FTC

Essential Criteria:
  • Hold a recognised Assessor award: D32/33, A1, CAVA or TAQA.
  • Must have experience of delivering Apprenticeships in Health and Social Care (Frameworks OR Standards).
  • Hold occupational competency in Health and Social Care (Elderly) at Deputy Manager level or above.
  • Confident to support learners with Maths and English Functional Skills.
  • Happy to conduct online remote assessments - and face to face when required.
  • Full, clean driving licence and use of a vehicle.
  • Must be flexible with travel.
Duties include:
  • Assess and support learners working towards Apprenticeships in Health and Social Care up to Level 5.
  • Managing your diary efficiently to ensure timely visits and reviews are conducted.
  • Organise and maintain documentation on learners' progress.
  • Support, advise and motivate learners.
  • Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.
  • Meet Assessor KPI’s in terms of timely visits, quality paperwork and general administration.
Personal Skills:
  • Organisational skills are a must, as well as the ability to plan your time effectively.
  • Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people.
  • Quality driven and prepared to go the extra mile for your learners
