Qualifications

  • Level 2 Fitness Instruction is required for the position.
  • Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification is preferred.
  • Group Training qualifications are a plus, but training will be provided.

Band 5: Permanent, Full Time

Serco Leisure is looking for an inspirational Health & Fitness Manager to lead our fitness team and deliver exceptional member experiences across the gym floor, studio, and personal training services. You will manage gym facilities at both our Shropshire and Whitchurch sites.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead and develop Health & Fitness Coaches, Apprentices, PTs, and Group Exercise Instructors
  • Recruit and manage Personal Trainers and drive both team and personal PT income
  • Deliver and support our Signature Group and Small Group Training programmes
  • Ensure outstanding gym-floor engagement, onboarding, and member support
  • Manage the group exercise budget and deliver a strong, commercially viable timetable
  • Oversee member progress, KPIs and assessment processes using our digital systems
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and motivating fitness environment
What You’ll Bring
  • Level 2 Fitness Instruction (required)
  • Level 3 Personal Trainer
  • Group Training qualifications (desirable; training provided)
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills
  • Confidence delivering PT, group exercise, and signature products
