Job description

We're seeking an exceptional Headteacher to lead a new specialist school for children and young people with SEMH, Autism and associated needs. This is a unique chance to shape a school from the ground up - embedding therapeutic, trauma‑informed approaches and creating a safe, supportive, and aspirational environment for every pupil.

Responsibilities
  • Lead an SEN/SEMH school with vision, compassion, and ambition
  • Build a culture where wellbeing and learning progress go hand in hand
  • Empower a multidisciplinary team to deliver personalised, pupil‑centred education
  • Ensure operational excellence, safeguarding, and compliance from day one
Qualifications
  • Experienced Headteacher or Deputy in SEN/SEMH, specialist or alternative provision
  • Knowledge of trauma‑informed practice, behaviour as communication, and complex needs
  • Strong understanding of Ofsted frameworks for specialist settings
  • Budget and resource management experience
  • Relevant teaching qualification
