Overview

Hey there future changemaker!

At Noda were building seamless Open Banking solutions that make payments smarter faster and safer . Were now looking for a Head of Legal to join our team and help drive the next wave of fintech innovation.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advisory support across the business : commercial contracts (merchant partner and vendor agreements) licensing service-terms data processing agreements and related documentation.
• Lead negotiation of key commercial and strategic transactions (e.g. partnerships integrations and vendor / supplier agreements).
• Work closely with the risk compliance and operations functions to align legal strategy with operational requirements and regulatory obligations.
• Develop maintain and refine Nodas legal policies procedures and templates (contracts data protection privacy cybersecurity and intellectual property).
• Provide corporate governance support : board and shareholder matters corporate entity structure board minutes and resolutions.
• Monitor emerging legal and regulatory developments in fintech / payment services evaluate business impact and provide proactive guidance.
• Serve as a strategic advisor and business partner to senior management and functional leads balancing commercial objectives with legal risk.

Skills & Experience

• Significant experience in payments / fintech financial services regulatory environment or similarly regulated sector.
• 5 years of relevant legal experience (commercial contracts regulatory compliance) ideally within fintech / payments / financial services.
• Demonstrated experience managing or building a legal team or being the senior legal function in a high-growth environment.
• Deep understanding of payments regulation (open banking PSD2 e-money regulations as applicable) data protection (GDPR) AML / KYC and fintech compliance.
• Strong commercial mindset : able to partner with business teams support growth anticipate issues and provide pragmatic legal advice.
• Excellent contract drafting negotiation communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced scaling startup / scale-up environment with dynamic priorities and evolving regulatory context.
