Job description
Overview

Our graduate programme and APC support aims to provide you with the best start and progression. This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing team within Fisher German with expansion plans over the next few years. You will work across two teams: Telecoms and Renewable Energy. We know that clean energy offers our clients significant revenue and cost-saving opportunities, enhances environmental credentials, and makes a difference in communities, societies, and the world, so this will be a natural passion for you.

Fisher German is a fast-growing, leading firm of UK Property Consultants and Chartered Surveyors, with over 800 people across 27 offices, offering a wide range of property services lines. The company has a history dating back to 1830 and offers a dynamic environment with sporting competitions, charity events, CPD days, rotations, and a graduate development programme.

What would I be doing?

You will be responsible for your own clients and workload, so we’re looking for an ambitious self-starter who thrives on creating great, long-lasting client relationships with land owners. You will be knowledgeable and provide advice on the ECC (Electronic Communications Code) and the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954, advising clients on a wide range of professional work including site relocations, lease renewals and portfolio management. You will also have the opportunity to deliver on large-scale energy projects.

What do I need to have to apply?

We are happy to teach the technical skills you need; your personal attributes and commitment to the role are key. Ideally, you will:

  • Be a graduate from an RICS-accredited degree.
  • Be committed to professional career development to become a Chartered member of the RICS (MRICS).
  • Have a passion and interest in the built and/or natural environment.
  • Have excellent people and communication skills – both verbal and written.
  • Have a positive, can-do attitude and be able to identify and solve problems.
  • Have good attention to detail.
  • Adopt a consultative approach, able to identify and solve problems.
  • Have the ability to work on multiple projects and tasks, agile and responsive to changing client and site requirements.
  • Have access to transport, or be willing to arrange transport by start date, as travel to out-of-town client sites is common.
  • Enjoy working outdoors in all weathers, travelling across the region or further afield and working outside of the standard 9-5 when required.
What’s in it for me?

Full support towards becoming a Chartered Member of the RICS. Benefits include enrollment on our award-winning graduate training programme, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, your birthday off after 12 weeks of service, social and sporting activities, an annual discretionary bonus, employee assistance programme and a money-saving shopping portal.

We have a company-wide hybrid working policy, though we encourage new starters to spend as much time as possible in the presence of colleagues.
