Job description

An international organisation with a growing global footprint is seeking an experienced interim Global Accounts Receivable Manager to lead and develop its accounts receivable function across multiple regions. Reporting to the Group Finance Director, this is a senior leadership role with responsibility for overseeing a globally distributed AR team and managing annual collections in excess of £100m. The role will play a critical part in strengthening working capital performance, embedding robust controls, and driving continuous improvement across end-to-end order-to-cash processes as the business continues to scale internationally.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading and developing a global accounts receivable team across the Americas, EMEA/I and APAC regions
  • Ensuring efficient billing, cash collection and timely settlement of invoices, supporting effective working capital management
  • Standardising AR processes and controls globally, partnering closely with finance, operations, commercial and legal teams
  • Owning the credit policy and credit risk assessment framework across all geographies
  • Defining, monitoring and delivering against cash collection KPIs
  • Overseeing the accurate generation of customer invoices in line with statutory, regulatory and taxation requirements
  • Acting as a key finance partner across the order-to-cash cycle, supporting process improvement and systems development
  • Managing financial risks including credit exposure, foreign exchange considerations and master data integrity
  • Serving as a key contact for internal and external audits
  • Taking ownership of global duty and tax recharge processes, including associated people leadership and improvement initiatives
Candidate profile:

The role will suit an established AR leader with international experience who is comfortable operating in a complex, fast-moving environment.

  • Senior-level accounts receivable leadership in an international or multi-entity environment
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounts receivable, credit control and cash collection best practice
  • Understanding of credit risk, trading environments, and duty and tax considerations
  • Advanced people management and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving capability
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines
  • Confident, clear communicator able to influence at all levels

An ICM qualification (or equivalent) is required. Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel capability are advantageous.
