We are helping a dynamic and growing IT consultancy, partnering with a prestigious public sector client. We're seeking a talented and proactive GIS Consultant to join their team for a 6-month contract.
You will play a pivotal role in a critical system migration project, transitioning our client from their existing ESRI systems to a modern and robust QGIS platform. This is a highly consultative position where you will leverage your expertise to:
Provide expert GIS consultancy, advising on best practices and optimal solutions.
Lead and execute the migration of GIS data and functionalities from ESRI to QGIS.
Collaborate closely with the client's team, ensuring a smooth and successful transition.
Develop and implement QGIS-based solutions tailored to the client's specific needs.
Proven experience as a GIS Consultant, with a strong track record of successful project delivery.
Expert-level proficiency with QGIS and extensive experience in migrating from ESRI platforms.
Solid understanding of GIS data management, spatial analysis, and mapping principles.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a small, agile team.
NPPV clearance is essential for this role.
