An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our well-respected and dynamic team at Eglwysbach Medical Practice. We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Salaried GP to contribute to our commitment to high-quality patient care.

Location: Pontypridd, near Cardiff

Sessions: 4 per week (Monday and Wednesday) with an option to work a Thursday to cover maternity leave.

Salary: £11,576 per session

Fixed term: 12 months

We are a 7-partner, 6-salaried GP practice, based in the town centre of Pontypridd, with branches at Tonteg and Ynysybwl. We have a full complement of nurses and pharmacists supported by our receptionist/administrators and practice manager.

We are a training practice with a great ethos for education and promoting a healthy work/life balance.

Job responsibilities

• Our Practice Team: 7 partners, 6 salaried GPs, plus a GP retainer. 2 prescribing pharmacists. Chronic disease management and minor illness, led by a senior nurse prescriber.
• High-achieving Practice with excellent admin support.
• Training Practice: Supporting GP trainees, F2 doctors, medical students, pharmacy and nursing students.
• Enhanced Services: Joint injections, minor surgery, long-acting contraceptives, MS reviews, and Care Home service; special interests encouraged.
• Modern Systems: Paper-free Vision system with Docman, WCCG, GPTR.
• Active in Cluster — shaping local healthcare initiatives.
• Flexible Consultations: A mix of telephone and face-to-face appointments.
