Overview

Forklift Engineer
32,000 + OT, Permanent, Chipping Sodbury, BS37, 8am - 4:30pm/3:30pm on a Fri, M-F 22 days hols rising to 25 + bank holidays, pension.

Responsibilities

• The forklift Service engineer or forklift engineer role is a service and repair role for an established and successful business. The position involves the service, repair and planned maintenance of material handling equipment and could be either a combination of field service and workshop based work. A company vehicle would be provided for the field service work, so a full driving licence is required.
• The ability to diagnose equipment faults and problem solve on forklifts
• Repair, service and planned maintenance of the equipment
• Field service and workshop based work
• Requires the ability to work on your own in the field after full product training or as part of a team in the workshop
• Preparing customer reports and paperwork on the equipment
• Good Mechanical, Hydraulic and if possible basic 12v Electrical experience relating to this type of equipment
• Any Loler knowledge would also be advantageous

Candidates suited to this role

• Ideally you will have experience in servicing and repairing forklifts or plant or an Agricultural engineering background with related knowledge
• However general service engineering of similar equipment or a vehicle mechanic background may be suitable and product training for successful candidates would be provided
• Any recognised qualifications are useful but time served experience will also be suitable
