Forklift Driver (counterbalance) and Warehouse Assistant

Salary – Up to £26,000. Permanent role. Immediate interviews and start. ME10 – Sittingbourne – Accessible via public transport. Monday to Friday 8.30am – 4.30pm. 25 days holiday rising to 30 after 5 years, subsidised gym membership, enhanced pension pay (5% rising every 5 years), private healthcare.

A rare opportunity is available to join a well established company with a new distribution site based in Sittingbourne. Joining a team of 8 within the warehouse and distribution team you will be responsible for general warehousing activities coupled driving their Counterbalance Forklift truck. With excellent hours working on a fixed day shift of Monday to Friday 8.30am–4.30pm, NO EVENINGS or WEEKENDS! Fantastic working conditions, great team environment and excellent benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Picking and packing parts and large components.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move, stack, load, and unload goods.
• Conduct regular safety checks on forklifts and report any issues or maintenance needs.
• Packing of orders received and ready for dispatch.
• Make-up kits and other special assemblies into components.
• Responsible for placing stock received into the correct locations with the relevant instruction inserts and/or bagging up as required.
• Ensure that stock is kept in an orderly condition and is rotated by date order, or as advised by the supervisor.
• To construct dispatch documentation accurately by use of proprietary software.
• Use of JDE stock control software and computer programmes.

Qualifications

We are keen to speak to candidates who have good warehouse experience, recent forklift driving experience, internal licence is ok. A strong sense of Health and Safety and someone who is a positive, reliable team member.
