The Role

Position: Food Technology Technician / DT Technician

Location: Cheshire West and Chester

Start Date: Immediate

Duration: Until February half-term

Hours: 9:00am - 2:30pm

Pay: Negotiable, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparing ingredients, materials and equipment for Food Technology lessons (KS3 & KS4)
  • Ensuring compliance with health & safety and food hygiene regulations
  • Maintaining and organising the food technology classroom and storage areas
  • Supporting teaching staff during practical lessons
  • Cleaning, stock control and safe storage of equipment
The Ideal Candidate
  • Previous experience as a Food Technology Technician, DT Technician or similar school-based role
  • Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene and risk assessments
  • Experience working within a secondary school environment preferred
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
  • Reliable, organised and able to work independently
