Food Technician (Full-Time)

Hours: 8:15 am – 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday

Location: Westminster

Are you passionate about supporting students in their learning and enjoy working in a practical, hands-on environment? This Academy is seeking a dedicated Food Technician with Learning Support Assistant (LSA) experience to join our team.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and measure ingredients for food lessons.
  • Support classroom health & safety, ensuring a safe and well-organised learning environment.
  • Provide technical and practical support to teachers and students in food technology classes.
  • Assist students during practical sessions, offering LSA-style support to enhance learning.
  • Maintain equipment, resources, and hygiene standards in line with school policies.
About You
  • Previous experience as a LSA or support assistant / Food Technician or in a similar support role (desirable).
  • Background in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach.
  • An understanding of health & safety requirements in a food technology environment.
  • A positive, supportive attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
