Located in the heart of World Golf Village, Westminster St. Augustine, a Life Care Retirement Community, is currently accepting applications for the position of Floor Technician to work on a full-time basis from 8am to 4:30pm, Tuesday through Saturday.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:

The Housekeeping Technician position must comply with all applicable rules, policies, standards and guidelines related to employment with Westminster Communities including:

  • Responsible for all recycling and trash removal, surface care on campus grounds.
  • Mops, sweeps, residential units and common areas.
  • General cleaning surrounding areas of the residential units and common areas.
  • Clean the “cleaning” equipment at the end of each shift and report to the supervisor if the equipment needs repairs.
  • Responsible for maintaining all assigned areas cleaned, sanitized and free of debris at all times.
  • Assist in the preparation of designed areas for special events (includes prior and after activities).
  • Assist the department with the delivery of linen to the Health Center.
  • Trains and performs front desk duties during the night shift and/or on weekends. Also, provides concierge services to the residents.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and/or experience:

Less than high school education and up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

The physical activities of this position involve: Balancing, Kneeling, Reaching, Crouching, Pulling, Standing, Manual Dexterity, Pushing, Stooping, Grasping, Lifting up to 40 lbs.

Sensory and communicative activities with or without prosthetics of this position are: Feeling, Smelling, Hearing, Speaking, Seeing

An individual in this position will be exposed to:
Inside/Outside environmental conditions
Blood borne pathogens (low risk)
Respiratory infections (low risk)

Must be able to cope with mental and emotional stress of this position.
