Foot Mobile Fire Alarm & Emergency Lighting Engineer
Location: Central London
Working Hours: 8am-4:30pm
Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM), testing, and servicing of fire alarm and emergency lighting systems.
- Undertake fault-finding, remedial works, and small installations in line with industry regulations (BS5839 & BS5266).
- Provide commissioning support, including fire alarm software programming where required.
- Respond promptly to reactive callouts, delivering first-time fixes wherever possible.
- Complete compliance documentation, logbooks, and certification following works.
- Liaise professionally with clients, tenants, and colleagues to ensure excellent service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with all health & safety procedures and risk assessments.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience in servicing, maintaining, and repairing fire alarm systems across commercial or residential sites.
- Strong working knowledge of emergency lighting systems and statutory testing requirements.
- On-site fire alarm experience (1st and 2nd fix works).
- Up-to-date knowledge of fire alarm industry standards (BS5839) and emergency lighting standards (BS5266).
- Demonstrable experience in fault-finding, diagnostics, and remedial works.
- Ability to work independently across multiple London sites with excellent time management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong customer focus.
Desirable
- Fire alarm software programming and commissioning experience.
- Industry-recognised training in fire alarm systems.
- Asbestos Awareness, IPAF, or PASMA certification.
