Job Description
  • Prepare and deliver accurate financial statements and reports in compliance with accounting standards.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and adjustments.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Analyse financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, or opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities to support business planning processes.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure the accuracy of financial information.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Provide technical advice on financial reporting standards and updates.
The Successful Applicant

A successful Financial Reporting Accountant should have:

  • Degree (2:1 or above) or equivalent qualification.
  • Newly qualified Accountant (ICAEW or equivalent) with strong technical skills.
  • Experience working in top accounting firms.
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems.
  • Ability to communicate confidently with accountants and non-accountants, managing a number of stakeholders, including senior members.
  • Comfortable taking on ownership and responsibility, whilst being effective working collaboratively.
  • Demonstrating commercial awareness
  • Experience with production of audit or statutory accounts.
  • Ability to produce well thought through, clearly laid out and expressed schedules and papers.
  • Excellent Excel and data analysis skills.
