Overview

An opportunity for someone who is looking to make their move from Practice to In-House and forge their commercial career. We are a growing Fibre Broadband company with £1b of infrastructure assets and we are adding thousands of customers to our network every month. This is a hybrid role, with 3 days per week in our Head Office in Abingdon, Oxon. The role will prepare Group Consolidated Statutory Accounts in compliance with IFRS, UK GAAP and other relevant laws and regulations and will be a main point of contact for external auditors, supporting and handling the audit process.

You will bring and support the senior finance team with your expertise in audit, financial reporting, tax reporting, while contributing to the monthly delivery of the management accounts and day-to-day journals, primarily on IFRS 16 related financials, balance sheet reconciliations, etc. There will be exposure and visibility to internal senior stakeholders, as well as externally to our Equity and Debt Providers, such as Parent Company, Investors and Lenders / Banks.

Gigaclear is a growing Fibre Broadband (FTTP / FTTH) company, developing our fibre-to-the-premises broadband infrastructure to some of the most difficult to reach areas of the UK, empowering those communities with broadband to rival any city.

Responsibilities

• Support the senior finance team with audit, financial reporting, tax reporting, and the monthly delivery of management accounts and day-to-day journals.
• Handle IFRS 16 related financials and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare Group Consolidated Statutory Accounts in accordance with IFRS, UK GAAP and other relevant laws and regulations.
• Act as a main point of contact for external auditors, supporting and managing the audit process.
• Collaborate with internal teams and senior stakeholders; build excellent working relationships with non-finance teams.
• Support or contribute to Risk Management activities, including reviewing Risk Management Registers, Frameworks, and Internal Control processes.
• Utilise advanced Excel skills and adopt an analytical, problem-solving mindset.

Qualifications

You will be a newly qualified Accountant, ACA, ACCA, or CIMA, with an understanding of IFRS and Tax Regulations.
