A financial services provider is seeking a Finance Business Partner in Belfast for a 3-month hybrid contract. The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified accountant with expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. You will lead financial analyses and provide insights to enhance decision-making. Strong Excel skills and public sector experience are highly desirable for this position. Competitive salary ranges from £43,000 to £46,600.

Finance Business Partner – Belfast/Hybrid - £43,000 - £46,600 - 3-Month Contract

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant with strong analytical skills and public sector experience to contribute to an organisation that delivers vital services across Northern Ireland.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead on budgeting and forecasting, monitoring spend against forecasts and preparing monthly expenditure reviews.
  • Provide accurate and timely management accounts and financial reports.
  • Analyse financial data, identify pressures and savings opportunities, and present insights to senior stakeholders.
  • Reconcile payroll and salary forecasts with the General Ledger, including agency staff.
  • Support long-term financial planning, policy development, and process improvement.
  • Engage with budget holders to provide financial advice and ensure effective cost management.
  • Contribute to the automation and standardisation of financial reporting packs.
About You
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, reconciliations).
  • Ability to analyse and interpret complex financial data, providing clear insights.
  • Effective stakeholder management and communication skills, particularly with non-financial colleagues.
  • Previous public sector finance experience highly desirable.
