Job summary

A technology service provider in the UK is looking for an IT Field Engineer responsible for onsite repair services of Desktop PCs, Laptops, and Servers. The candidate will maintain customer relations, complete job updates, and ensure effective communication with management teams. Job Overview

As an IT Field Engineer, you will be responsible for providing onsite break/fix repair services for Desktop PCs, Laptops, and Servers. You will work independently or with team members on installations, IT Recycling decommissioning, and provide telephone support when required. This is a full time position, 37 hours per week, field based in the Berkshire Area. Company vehicle provided; full driving licence required. Working days are Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

• Maintain excellent customer relations and ensure devices are operational or provide clear information on return visits.
• Complete job progress updates before leaving the customer site.
• Communicate effectively with the call allocation and engineering management teams throughout the day.
• Complete all allocated work daily and ensure all service administration is complete.
• Maintain and locate allocated boot stock.
• Keep the company vehicle clean and tidy.
• Ensure parts for jobs are locatable.

Qualifications

• CSCS Card.
• Previous experience in a similar field service repair role.
• Strong knowledge of Laptop/Desktop hardware break/fix methodology.
• Server hardware repair knowledge and understanding of RAID principles.
