Overview

We're looking for a Support Worker to join our friendly team in Clacton-on-Sea. You will support five wonderful individuals across two supported living homes. One home hosts three ladies aged 50–70, while the other houses a gentleman and a lady in their 70s and 80s.

In the first home, you’ll provide one‑to‑one support in medication, personal care, and meal preparation, while encouraging independence and facilitating social and creative activities such as baking, painting, music classes and history chats. The residents also enjoy shopping trips, holidays, and time with family.

In the second home, you’ll support a lively and independent gentleman and a lady, also assisting with medication, food preparation and personal care, enabling them to enjoy hobbies such as railway club visits, gardening, café trips, and monthly massages.

Key Details & Compensation
  • £12.64 per hour
  • Sleep‑ins required (minimum one per week)
  • Driver with UK manual licence essential
  • Shift patterns: 7:00 am–2:30 pm and 2:30 pm–10:00 pm, with occasional long days (15 hours)
Responsibilities

You will work 1:1 with each resident throughout the shift, be the sole staff member on duty, travel between the two homes, and assist with daily routines to promote independence and quality of life. Your duties include medication support, personal care (where needed), meal preparation, and facilitating activities and outings.

Requirements
  • Driver with UK manual licence.

  • Available for flexible working, including occasional long days and a minimum of one sleep‑in per week.
