A personal care service is seeking compassionate individuals to provide 1-1 support for personal care, meal preparation, and assistance with household tasks. This role is ideal for those who are patient and empathetic, looking to make a positive impact in the lives of individuals with disabilities. I\'m seeking to recruit a team of PA\'s to provide my 2-1 support for the 4 call outs per day, to assist me washing, dressing, preparing meals and providing some companionship. Additional support may require some light household chores/duties, hair washing and supporting me to care for my pet Budgie 1 hour AM visit. - Personal care, continence care, dressing, medication nutritional support. 1 hour lunch visit - Personal care, continence care, dressing, medication nutritional support and positional changes 1 hour teatime visit - Personal care, continence care, dressing, medication nutritional support and positional changes 45 minute evening visit - Personal care, continence care, dressing, medication nutritional support and positional changes.
The individuals needs may vary from day to day and your tasks may reflect this. You could be required to perform other duties as reasonably required. You have a responsibility as an employee to report all accidents to the employer immediately. You have a duty to report defects and / or hazards which may give rise to an accident. You are to ensure the safety of the individual at all times.
I am the employer and also the service user. I reside in my own property with the support of a care package of 4 calls per day, to allow me to remain living at home independently. I have a diagnosis of Cerebral Palsy and currently bed bound, due to having limited mobility and no use of hoists as my body is extremely contracted. My speech is slurred however I am able to communicate what I want and need and have a good sense of humour.
