Job description
Overview

United Colleges Group (UCG) is looking for a Corporation Member to join the Audit Committee. UCG was formed by the merger of City of Westminster College and the College of North West London in August 2017. Based in London, UCG aims to provide high-quality post-16 and adult education and skills training, collaborating with schools, colleges, universities, borough councils and employers to raise educational and vocational attainment. In the 2024 Ofsted inspection, UCG was graded Good overall and noted for contributing to local skills needs.

UCG educates over 12,000 learners per year across 6 sites in central and North West London, including 16-18-year-olds, adults, apprentices and students with high needs. The organisation has an annual turnover of about £59m and offers education across a wide range of vocational areas and levels.

We value diversity among staff, students and governors and are committed to ensuring those voices are heard to improve the experience of all stakeholders. UCG works with partners such as Business London, West London Alliance and Central London Forward to align its education and skills offer with the needs of students, employers and other stakeholders. A significant property redevelopment programme is under way, with a new campus planned for Wembley (expected to complete in 2028).

More information about United College Group is available in its College Plan and Accountability Agreement on UCG’s website.
