Overview

Farm Foreman (Permanent Position) – Location: Northampton. Salary: £30,203 £34,022 per annum. Annual Leave: 33 days + 5 days Christmas closure. Pension: Government workplace pension with 20% employer contribution. Interview Date: Scheduled for 22 September 2025.

Think FE are proud to be working with an EF college in Northampton who are seeking a reliable Farm Foreman. Reporting to the Farm Manager and supported by a dedicated farm worker, you’ll take an active role in livestock management, arable operations, and machinery upkeep.

Key responsibilities
  • Lambing and calving
  • Managing harvest and arable operations
  • Maintaining and operating a range of farm equipment and machinery
Who we are looking for — qualifications and experience
  • A vocational, farm-based qualification
  • A valid licence for either a telehandler or a forklift
  • Spraying certifications ideally PA1 and PA6
  • Demonstrated experience in livestock handling (particularly sheep), feed systems, and arable farming
