Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Catering Team at County Hospital Stafford. Working with an experienced team you will be delivering Fresh Food to our patients and visitors. The rota is as follows: Thursday - Sunday 16.30-19.30 (weekend enhancements).

Responsibilities
  • Cleaning of equipment in main kitchen and the presentation and service of meals to patients, supporting the restaurant meal services.
  • Preparing and serving meals to patients, staff, and visitors in accordance with dietary requirements and health & safety standards.
  • Assisting with the preparation and organisation of food items, ensuring compliance with NHS guidelines.
  • Taking and recording meal orders from patients, considering any specific dietary needs.
  • Delivering food to wards in a timely manner, ensuring it is served at the correct temperature.
  • Managing and replenishing stock levels, ensuring that all food items are stored correctly.
  • Liaising with healthcare staff to ensure that patients' dietary requirements are met.
Requirements

The individual will need to be adaptable, hardworking and be a self‑motivated individual to meet the team and operational goals. The role is part‑time, involving working in a busy hospital environment, ensuring that high standards of food service are maintained across various wards and departments. Cleaning and hygiene of kitchen and dining areas, washing up and sanitising surfaces.
