A regional healthcare provider in Llanelli is looking for a motivated Occupational Therapist to join their multidisciplinary team. This role focuses on delivering holistic care to older adults, ensuring their independence while maintaining functional skills. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic team player keen on developing best practices in Older Adult Mental Health.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join the multidisciplinary team at Bryngolau Ward, Prince Philip Hospital, Llanelli. This is a 30-hour post within Older Adult Mental Health, providing an excellent opportunity to develop and enhance your clinical skills within the OT framework.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering holistic, client-centred care, focusing on promoting independence and maintaining functional skills. You will work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to support effective and safe discharge planning for patients.

The post offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic multidisciplinary team. You will have a specific interest in Older Adult Mental Health and demonstrate enthusiasm for the role. You will be keen to develop best practice in compliance with Dementia Standards and A Healthier Wales.
The post holder will be required to develop positive relationships with all healthcare professionals, statutory and voluntary agencies, maintaining good communication across all areas.
The post holder will be responsible for the assessment, planning, and intervention of clients experiencing cognitive loss. You will have a varied caseload, including younger onset dementia sufferers and people living with functional mental health issues.
There will be opportunities to develop group work skills and deliver evidence-based interventions such as Recovery Through Activity.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
