Job summary

A prominent charity based in Edinburgh is seeking an Executive Director for a fixed-term role of three to four years. This position involves managing financial oversight, communication with Trustees, and project management within a flexible commitment of around eight to ten days per month. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, administration, and management skills, along with a good understanding of financial oversight.

Overview

Dunard Fund (Scottish Charity Number SC046889) invites applications for its next Executive Director. Dunard Fund, based in Edinburgh, provides funding to inspire the performance of classical music at an international standard, and the rehabilitation of buildings with architectural significance.

Role and time commitment

The role is fixed term for three or four years. The time commitment is flexible, usually around eight to ten days per month.

Responsibilities
  • Attend meetings with Trustees and others.
  • Manage all donations; oversee projects funded by Dunard Fund, including IMPACT Scotland and the Royal High School Preservation Trust.
  • Communicate regularly with Trustees.
  • Provide oversight of finances, including management accounts, cashflows, management of bank accounts and oversight of investments; act confidentially at all times.
