Role and Responsibilities
  • Effectively plan and deliver the organisation’s presence at conferences and events, including company-hosted activities such as forums, seminars, and webinars.
  • Measure event performance against defined objectives, manage post-event follow-up, and compile data for month-end reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop event content, collateral, and presentations.
  • Support new business development through partnerships, event sponsorships, and ambassadorships.
  • Execute internal and external communications and promotional activities aligned with the events plan and Group marketing strategy.
  • Proactively research market, industry, and government developments to inform event planning and broader marketing initiatives.
  • Ensure a consistent tone of voice and messaging across all communications.
  • Maintain strong engagement with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely information flow.
  • Provide ongoing support to the wider marketing team, contributing to key initiatives and priorities.
  • Read and comply with the company Health & Safety Policy; taking reasonable care for the Health & Safety of themselves and others; co-operate with managers and other employees in fulfilling our objectives and statutory duties.
Qualifications and Experience Requirements
Essential
  • GCSEs and A-Levels.
  • Marketing / Business / Event Planning Degree or equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role, within a B2B, PLC or regulated environment.
  • Track record in event planning and supporting well-attended events to deliver tangible results.
  • Experience in liaising with partners, suppliers and agency resources - strong stakeholder management.
  • A team player.
  • Positive attitude and unfazed by complex multi-tasking.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work to deadlines.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills – ability to engage stakeholders and effectively network both internally and externally.
  • Excellent copywriting skills – able to write persuasively to encourage event attendance on invitation.
Desirable
  • Previous knowledge / experience of the energy / utilities industry, sustainability or ESG services industry.
