Overview

Environmental Health Officer (Housing) – 1 Permanent Post 2 days per week
Grade/Salary GO8 (SCP 32 to 35) £42,839 - £46,142 Pro rata
Based at Ty Dewi Sant Offices, Ewloe/ Hybrid Working

We are looking for professional, competent and enthusiastic people who are able to communicate well at all levels, with the ability to cope with a demanding workload.

Responsibilities
  • Your role will focus on private sector housing inspections, dealing with houses of multiple occupation (HMO’s), complaint investigations, along with public health work associated with residential properties.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Applications are invited from candidates with a degree in Environmental Health, ideally with experience as an Environmental Health Officer working in the field of Housing Enforcement. However, applications from recently qualified candidates will also be welcomed.
  • The role requires excellent communication skills, a flexible approach to work, and a solution focused outlook.
  • Welsh speaking and writing skills are desirable.
