Contract: Long term, full time.

About the Role

Aspire People Manchester is working in partnership with a well-established all boys secondary school in Bury to recruit a passionate and experienced English specialist teacher for a long-term cover role beginning in October.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated English teacher to join a supportive and dynamic school community, delivering engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4. The role will run for the remainder of the academic year, with potential opportunities for extension or permanent placement for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Contribute to raising attainment and engaging boys in English.
• Support classroom management and curriculum delivery in a secondary school setting.
• Contribute to the planning, assessment and appropriate differentiation of the English curriculum.

Ideal Candidate / Qualifications

• Be a qualified English teacher (QTS/QTLS or equivalent).
• Have recent experience teaching English in UK secondary schools.
• Demonstrate strong classroom management and curriculum knowledge.
• Be passionate about raising attainment and engaging boys in English.
• Be available to start from 20 October 2025.
