Job description

We're recruiting for an enthusiastic and motivated Engineering Team Supervisor to lead an on-site engineering service team at a major Pharmaceutical site in Cambridge. This role is focused purely on the operation & management of the current service team where you will monitor service schedules and drive continuous improvement of the team in a laboratory environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day activities of an on-site engineering team
• Ensure safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of contracted services
• Monitor KPIs, CMMS records, and engineering documentation
• Lead performance reviews, training, and team development
• Drive process improvements, cost-saving initiatives, and service optimisation
• Build strong client and stakeholder relationships
• Support change initiatives and introduction of new technologies
• Champion health & safety and best engineering practices

Qualifications

• 5+ years engineering experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory role
• Experience servicing instruments and/or leading teams in a laboratory environment
• Strong leadership, communication, and client-facing skills
• Experience with performance management and team development
• Solid understanding of health, safety, and compliance in engineering environments
• Proven track record in continuous improvement and operational efficiency
• Familiarity with CMMS or engineering systems advantageous
