The Role

We\'re looking for an Engineering Manager to lead our hardware electronics team at our Livingston/Bathgate Design Centre. In this role, you\'ll be the driving force behind our core technology, managing projects and guiding a team of skilled engineers to deliver exceptional results for our customers.

You\'ll be a key player in shaping our team\'s culture and success. We need a leader who can not only manage projects on time and on budget but also empower their team to reach their full potential.

In this role, you will:

  • Project & Cost Management: oversee all aspects of company and customer projects, from managing resources and budgets to leading the team in finding innovative solutions. Optimise the team\'s workflow and ensure focus on high-impact activities.
  • Technical Leadership & Quality: ensure the technical success of our programs by understanding customer needs and having the right people and processes in place. Proactively identify project risks and implement solutions to keep things on track, while upholding and improving quality standards.
  • Talent Development: hire diverse and highly skilled engineers who can help us grow; mentor and coach, focusing on employee development, succession planning, and helping each team member achieve their career goals. Embody and champion core values and hold the team to high standards.
Education and requirements
  • A minimum of a Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering or a related field is required. A Master\'s degree in Engineering or Business Administration is a plus.
  • Seven or more years of related engineering experience is required.
  • Two or more years of project management experience is preferred.
  • Prior experience in a service-based industry is also a plus.
