Job Title: FPGA Engineer - Consultant

As an FPGA Consultant, you will tackle diverse, real-world challenges from the ground up. Typically, this will involve going through the whole product life cycle: you\'ll capture, design, develop, document, test, and deliver through to prototype production. Awerian\'s wide variety of intriguing projects, from proof-of-concept through to working prototypes, provide both intellectual and practical challenges.

Responsibilities

Contribute to the full product lifecycle for FPGA firmware development, including design, documentation, testing, and delivery of prototypes. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to implement innovative solutions and prototypes that meet project requirements. Leverage Awerian\'s rapid design and implementation approach to bring concepts to reality.

Qualifications

You will ideally have 3+ years relevant experience in FPGA firmware development (VHDL/Verilog, using toolchains such as Vivado/Quartus), a proven track record of design and implementation of technological solutions, and a relevant degree. Experience in developing Digital Signal Processing algorithms is highly advantageous.

Desirable additional experience:

  • DSP / system modelling in MATLAB / Simulink
  • Electronics development
  • Embedded software development (typically with C / C++ and Linux expertise)
  • RADAR or communications applications
  • Software Defined Radios (SDRs)

You will also have a track record of academic excellence, hold a relevant degree, and have proven technical capabilities including the design and development of technology solutions. Previous defence sector experience is an advantage.
