Location: HMP Send, Ripley Rd, Ripley, Woking. GU23 7LJ
Salary: £41,818.21 per annum
Contract: Full Time, Permanent, 39hrs per week, Mon-Fri

We are seeking a Level 3 qualified Plumber to join our Facilities Maintenance Team at HMP Send, a secure adult female prison. Join a dedicated team committed to maintaining a safe and secure environment for all.

Team Environment

Work alongside experienced colleagues including Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, Cleaners, and Administrators, all dedicated to making a positive difference and providing a secure environment.

Role Responsibilities
  • Perform plumbing and mechanical engineering tasks in a secure environment.
  • Maintain and repair heating, water, and building service systems.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including Water supply regulation and Legionella control.
  • Participate in planned preventive maintenance operations.
  • Work with a range of plumbing and mechanical systems, utilizing your qualifications and experience.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Level 3 plumbing or mechanical engineering qualification (e.g., C&G 6189, 5962, 6019, etc.).
  • Two years' experience as a plumber or similar role.
  • Experience with commercial or industrial heating, water, or building systems.
  • Desirable: Unvented water heater vessel course G3, L8 awareness training.
