Job summary

A prominent law firm in England seeks an Employment Solicitor to manage a significant personal caseload of Employment matters. Job description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join the firm’s Employment team, one of the largest and fastest-growing in the East Midlands.

Reporting directly to the Head of Employment, the Employment Solicitor is responsible for managing a significant personal caseload of Employment matters, including conducting your own advocacy where necessary and appropriate.

This role is also responsible for taking an active involvement with business development for the department, including building their individual profile both inside and outside the firm.

The role reports to the Head of Employment and is based onsite at our Derby offices, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities
Fee earning :
  • Manage a varied caseload of Employment matters that will include :
  • Providing employment law advice to education and commercial clients;
  • Drafting advice reports, supporting clients with processes and other documentation such as settlement agreements;
  • Assisting clients with HR processes and procedures;
  • Handling cases through tribunal proceedings; and
  • Providing support on employment issues arising in transactions.
  • Provide ongoing technical support on matters for more junior fee‑earners.
  • Taking on ad hoc projects as assigned by the Head of Employment.
  • Ensure personal Employment knowledge is kept up to date.
