Overview

Electrical Supervisor - London and Surrounding Areas. An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join a leading Facilities Services provider, working across London and the surrounding areas. Ideal candidate location: Surrey (however candidates anywhere in London or the surrounding areas happy with travelling will be considered).

This role is ideally suited to an electrically qualified engineer with strong technical knowledge and proven supervisory experience. As well as carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, the successful candidate will take responsibility for organising and overseeing projects from start to completion. This includes coordinating with mechanical teams, managing materials, ensuring health and safety compliance, interpreting schematic drawings, and maintaining excellent communication with clients and colleagues. Strong organisational and leadership skills are essential. Applicants should come from a commercial background and have proven experience with metal containment.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and organise projects, ensuring smooth delivery from start to completion.
  • Work closely with mechanical teams and manage material orders.
  • Maintain health and safety compliance at all times.
  • Read and interpret schematic drawings, providing clear technical direction.
  • Liaise with clients, colleagues, and subcontractors to ensure excellent service delivery.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical maintenance to agreed timescales.
  • Support with fault finding and repairs in plant rooms and on electrical systems across client sites.
  • Assist in minor project works and provide technical support where required.
  • Complete all required paperwork and reporting accurately and on time.
  • Participate in the company\'s call-out rota, responding to urgent reactive issues as required.
  • Ensure all tools, equipment, and company vehicle are kept in good condition and serviceable.
  • Represent the company in a professional manner at all times and uphold company standards.
Qualifications & Experience
  • NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in electrical installations or recognised equivalent (apprenticeship, 2360 part 1 and 2 etc).
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (essential).
  • Either City & Guilds 2391 Testing & Inspection or Solar PV certification (mandatory).
  • Strong background in electrical installation, maintenance, fault finding, and project supervision.
  • Experience within commercial environments (schools, large facilities, boiler rooms, etc.).
  • Knowledge and experience of metal containment systems.
  • Must hold a full UK driving licence and be able to pass enhanced DBS checks due to school contracts.
Salary / Package
  • Basic Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 (dependent on skillset & qualifications).
  • 20 days holiday + 8 bank holidays.
  • Door-to-door paid travel.
  • Company van & fuel card provided (option for private use).
  • Pension scheme & discretionary benefits.
  • Standard hours: 8am - 5pm, Monday to Friday (1 hour unpaid lunch).
  • Participation in a call-out rota with additional payments.
